I've had the good fortune to review hundreds of resumes and interview dozens of candidates. Many of them stuff their resumes with references to items they had only touched, seen, or read about.
It ends up being quite a challenge for the interviewer to determine the truth. I'm hoping the no-nonsense summary below will make it easy for you.
In general, I have a wide exposure to micro, mini, and mainframes with a particular emphasis on network, mail, and web technology. My business for a number of years has been evaluating and implementing new technology, and I have written many research reports on product selection and overall methodology.
I have developed project plans, policies and procedures, administered servers, held conferences and training events.
I maintain close contacts with key vendors and have met with executives at their headquarters. Vendors include Microsoft, Oracle, Novell, HP, IBM, Lotus, and EMC.
